Villa in Raanana | Material Continuity and Urban Dialogue | Lead architect for this project at Ilan Pivko Architects
The Vision: Bringing the Outdoors In through Engineering and Material Sensitivity

As the lead architect at Ilan Pivko Architects, I managed the design and construction of this villa from its initial structural stages. Set within a dense urban environment, the project was born from a desire to create a "green lung" and maximum privacy without compromising the sense of space.

The core concept focused on blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior. The exposed concrete facades flow into the house, meeting natural mineral plaster that adds a warm, domestic feel. Complex aluminum details, integrated into the concrete during the casting stage, act as the precise link between these materials. Large openings overlook "mature" greenery, allowing the lush outdoors to become an integral part of the interior experience from day one.

The sculptural staircase reflects a close collaboration with the client, who possesses an exceptional design aesthetic. At her request, the stairs were designed with soft, curved lines, while the handrail detail was inspired by the iconic railing at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. In the bathrooms, her love for natural stone was translated into bespoke monolithic stonework, featuring integrated niches and material precision.

The result is a home where curated furniture—selected by a talented French gallerist—and meticulous architectural planning create a quiet, inspiring sanctuary in the heart of the city.
